Makerspace Activities
Watch the videos below to help you with your stations. The videos will explain how to use the equipment at your station and some ideas to help you get started. You cannot ask for help until you have watched the videos for your activity. Make sure you take a picture/video about what you create or make at each station.
Spheros SPRK+1. Watch the video on how to connect the Sphero.
2. After your Sphero is connected, you can use the program or drive tabs. 3. Please make sure Sphero stays on the carpet. 4. Disconnect the Sphero and return it to the blue box when it is time to rotate. Bee-Bots: Mat Station1. Watch the Bee-Bot How To video. If this is your second time with the Bee-Bots, you do not have to watch this video.
2. You can use the farm mat, the letter mat, and the dice mat to code your Bee-Bots. 3. Always turn the Bee-Bot off and return it to the charging station when it is time to rotate. Farm mat: send your Bee-Bot to different places on the farm. Dice mat: Roll the dice and send your Bee-Bot to those two numbers or race another Bee-Bot to a certain spot. Letter mat: Have the Bee-Bot travel to your initials or to the letters of your whole name |

Bee-Bots: Create Your Own Path1. Watch the Bee-Bot How To video. If this is your second time with the Bee-Bots, you do not have to watch this video.
2. Create paths on the dry erase tables with the dry erase markers and code your Bee-Bot to follow your path. You might want to see how far the Bee-Bot travels each time it goes forward or how it turns before you make your path. 3. Challenge a friend to try and code their Bee-Bot on your path. 4. Please erase your paths when you are done and return the Bee-Bot to the charging station. |

K'Nex
1. Watch the video about how to use the K'Nex.
2. Start building! Use the challenge cards if you would like or the papers included in the bins. 3. Make sure that you put all the pieces back into the red bins and the bins are placed back on the counter when you are finished. |

LEGOs
1. Watch the video on using the different LEGOs.
2. You can build on the LEGO Wall or you can use the blue Story Creator bins. You can sit on the countertops when building on the LEGO Wall. You can use the LEGO challenge cards if you are not sure what to build. 3. You can use the gray bins to build on the LEGO Wall. Please do not use the blue Story Creator Legos on the Lego Wall. You can build with Story Creator LEGOs on the floor or a table. 4. Please make sure all of the LEGO pieces are returned to the bin they came from when it is time to rotate. The Story Creator bins should be able to close. |

Paper Station
1. Watch the video about the Paper Station.
2. You can use paper, tape, scissors, glue, markers, and crayons to make anything you want out of paper. 3. You can also choose one of the cut-outs from PaperBox World to make at your station. 4. The link below will take you to 32 origami projects with videos on how to make the different projects. 5. Please make sure you clean up all of your supplies when you are done creating. |

Play-Doh
1. Watch the video about Play-Doh.
2. Please use the Play-Doh on a table and do not squish the colors together. 3. Be creative and have fun! 4. When it is time to rotate, please clean up the table and make sure the Play-Doh is returned to the correct container. Please make sure the covers are on tight. |

Snap Circuits
1. Watch the video about Snap Circuits.
2. Please use the Snap Circuits on the table or on the floor. 3. Please be careful with the pieces. If you need help removing pieces, please ask. 4. You can use the booklets to help you with electricity projects. 5. Please clean up all pieces when it is time to rotate. The cover should be able to close on the box. |
